Professor Emeritus

Research Interests / Specializations: My main area of research has been the summability theory of series and integrals, in the study of which I have used both classical and functional analysis. I have also considered problems in measure theory and probability theory, and have done some work in number theory and some on approximate subgradients and coderivatives.

Research Interests / Specializations: My computational research interests include numerical methods for the solution of ordinary differential equations, symbolic and numerical methods for the solution of systems of polynomial equations, and other algebraic and analytical methods. My mathematical research interests include special functions (especially the Lambert W function) and dynamical systems. My application interests include flow-induced vibration and, more recently, mathematical models useful in biological or physiological systems.
